Previous iOS information

Then, along came the iPhone 4

Enter iOS 4.2.1 - 4.3.3 Apple has proven that it is THE innovator when it comes to mobile Operating Systems (OS). They command 44% of the iOS market (which includes ALL Smart-Phones) This iteration of the Operating System that powers the iPhone and iPad is incredibly better than the most recent version previous to this. And with this version, Apple introduces many long desired features.

Preceded by iOS 3.2.1 As Apple aptly stated when 3.1.X was introduced, "It is the most advanced Mobile OS. Now even more advanced". After watching the video at that time, that was an understatement...then. That was March 2009 and even then, it boasted over 100 new features. Then came iOS 4.2.X, 4.3.X, and each of those added incredible numbers of new features. Nobody has their finger on the pulse of smart-phone buyers as Apple does. Their success amplifies that fact.

Some of the most notable iOS 4 Features are:

 • AirPrint Wireless Printing with Print Center (select models) • Improved Battery Performance • Multi-tasking • Threaded Mail messages • Folders (new for iPad) • Airplay - an updated version of Apple's AirTunes feature • Find My iPhone • And many, many refinements • Zippier performance • Fast App switching • A Unified InBox in Mail •
